Jeongyeon opened up about her activities during her long hiatus from the group on a program, and ONCE were happy to hear about the steps she took to recover.
The latest episode of “Investigator” was released on August 31st. There, artist and host Kangnam mentioned that he owns a coffee shop. This prompted Jeongyeon to reveal how she worked as a barista, much to Kangnam’s surprise.
Jeongyeon then recalled the time when she suffered from anxiety disorders, which also led to her taking an indefinite hiatus. The singer said she became a part-time bartender at a friend’s family bar, where she worked from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Kangnam: “Really? That’s great news! You’ve worked hard to get to where you are now. You took on part-time jobs, school, and auditions, all at once? And now you’re a star. You should write a book!”
Kangnam: “Do you remember that time?”
Name: “This is something I’ve never told anyone. When I had a panic attack, I had to take a break. And during the break, I worked as a barista at my friend’s coffee shop.”
Kangnam: “Really? You didn’t stay home. You worked.”
Name: “I went to the bar at six in the morning and worked until four in the afternoon.”
Kangnam: “Wow, you worked hard.”

ONCE reacted to Jeongyeon’s revelation and said how awesome it was to see her in action at a bar.
