Visionary Vision, a unit of K-pop group tripleS, recently faced significant criticism following their first music show win and subsequent encore performance on “The Show” on Nov. 5.
The unit, which won against STAYC and Kep1er, received harsh feedback from Korean viewers regarding their vocal abilities during the celebration stage.
The encore performance attracted numerous negative comments from spectators, many of whom expressed concern about the group’s singing abilities:
- “This is the worst so far…”
- “Are all 24 of them like this…? I don’t really know this song, but there were a few other songs that I thought were good. What happened to the voice here?”
- “Oh… that’s uncomfortable to listen to. I had to stop.”
- “They’re so out of tune I can’t even figure out what the melody is. Isn’t this their song? I’ve never seen a group perform so poorly together before.
- “They are not singers. And it seems like they’re trying to avoid singing by doing other things on stage, which… makes them look more pathetic.””
- “Even if it was a dance unit, they should have at least added a lead singer.”
- “A moment of silence…”
In response to the criticism, member Nakyoung took to a fan chat platform to address the situation, sharing several apologetic messages:
- “We got 1st place today, but I’m sorry for showing a disappointing side during the encore phase.”
- “It’s such a happy day, but still…”
- “I’m a little sorry that I wasn’t able to show a performance worthy of 1st place.”
- “I will train harder and work harder to become a prouder TripleS!”
