Reports have emerged accusing the CEO of a talent agency of sexually harassing a member of a rookie girl group. The allegations were revealed on the JTBC program Responsible for accidents (case leader) on November 22.
The victim, a member of the multinational girl group “Team A”, which debuted in September this year, was said to have suffered distressing behavior from the agency’s CEO. According to recordings broadcast during the program, during a conversation, the victim laughed, telling the CEO: “I would like to stop after this promotion. This is my wish“, and the CEO said: “If I grant you your wish, will you grant me my wish?” and added, “My wish is for you to be my girlfriend for a day.“
Audio recordings also captured the victim tearfully recounting the alleged abuse: “(The CEO) said, ‘Can I kiss you?’ and then he forced me. I kept my lips closed, but he tried to force his tongue, repeatedly kissing my neck and ears.
The member further stated: “He said, “Can I touch your chest?” and “Can I squeeze your butt just once?” I told him no, but he continued for two hours, even touching my private areas.“
The agency refuted the allegations, claiming that the member herself proposed a deal, “The member asked to stay in the group and offered to act as the CEO’s “girlfriend for a day” in exchange.“
The allegations have sparked widespread outrage and require a thorough investigation. As the story develops, public scrutiny remains fixed on the agency and its handling of the allegations.
