In his first interview in over a decade, T.O.P revealed how he incorporated his musical prowess into his role in Netflix’s hit thriller series Squid game 2.
Released in December, the former BIGBANG member took on the persona of Thanos, a failed rapper who hit rock bottom after falling victim to a coin scam.
Despite receiving mixed reviews about her acting and casting, the celebrity managed to win over fans with her rap “Beauty Flower,” which has since blossomed into a viral sensation on social media.

The viral scene took place during the game “Red Light, Green Light”, when Thanos (TOP), who had a crush on Kang Mina (Song Ji Woo), attempted to impress her with his improvised rapping.
The verse, written by the director, was longer, but TOP proposed to shorten it and reveal it SBS Entertainment News.
Here is the final version of the rap:
“You and me together, yes, I feel the power. I found her hidden in the weeds, yes, my flower of beauty. Red, orange, yellow, green: I am a legend, Thanos. Blue, green, light me up, green Light. I like you!”
It didn’t stop there; he accentuated the stupidity and awkwardness of the verse to fully embody his character’s “underdog” vibe.
While discussing his lyric writing process, TOP revealed that he predicted his rap would go viral, which prompted him to adapt the lyrics for younger viewers.
“I thought the point of rapping was to emphasize the embarrassing elements befitting a hip-hop loser. ‘Squid Game’ might be R-19+, but I knew it would probably spread across (Instagram) Reels and YouTube (Short Films), thus giving access to younger audiences,” the male icon said.
“I hope this scene becomes a meme that even elementary and middle school students can imitate. This is why I wrote each sentence simply and intuitively.”
