Seunghan’s departure has left a rift in the K-pop community, as many fans are still processing their feelings regarding the idol’s exit. The news also sparked a reaction from former soloist and DAY6 member Jae.

On October 17, fans heard Jae’s post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), mentioning OT6 BRIIZE’s protest in front of the SM Entertainment building. The protest called for the departure of Seunghan, whose return to the group had been announced days earlier.

The “VISIONS” singer expressed disgust at the decision to send funeral flowers before adding, “The same people who sent them will be the first online to mourn the tragic outcome they fought for.”

“God forbid a tragedy should happen, but I’ve been that way before and it was close,” Jae shared. “I can’t imagine the trauma it would cause to someone so young.”

Under the post, fans praised Jae for expressing his thoughts on the unfortunate incident.

  • “Thank you so much for your voice, Jae. I really hope this cruel situation doesn’t happen to anyone else.”
  • “Thank you so much for talking about this. Thanks, Jae.”
  • “Agreed! I don’t understand why they choose to kick him out rather than find people who harass and abuse him.”
  • “The internet is really scary. I just hope you’re healing well but, really, I hope that poor boy Seunghan knows that I loved him so much.”
