According to an online poll conducted by Star News in collaboration with Gallup Korea from August 19 to 23, which involved 1,052 men and women aged 19 to 69 across the country (with a margin of error of ±3.0% at a 95% confidence level), Zico topped the list as the “Most Beloved Rapper of the 21st Century” with a voter turnout of 31%.
Zico debuted in 2011 as part of the idol group “Block B” and gained popularity as the group’s leader, writing, composing, and producing most of their songs.
After parting ways with his previous agency in 2018, Zico continued to demonstrate his unfailing talent. That same year, he founded KOZ Entertainment, transitioning from solo activities to a producer role. KOZ Entertainment was later acquired by Big Hit Entertainment (now HYBE) in 2020, and in May last year, Zico expanded his musical spectrum by launching the boy group BOYNEXTDOOR.
In May, Zico won his first trophy on SBS Inkigayo with her digital single “SPOT!” Notably, she reached #1 without appearing on any music programs, proving her power as a “digital music powerhouse.”
Currently, he meets viewers every Friday through the music variety show KBS 2TV The Seasons: The Artist by Zico.
After Zico, Dynamic Duo secured second place with 26% of the votes. Dynamic Duo, who debuted in 2004, has released numerous hits such as “Go Back”, “Guilty”, “Ring My Bell”, “BAAAM” and “Attendance Check”.
