Oh my girl‘S Mimi is going viral among Korean netizens for her “perfect” style this week, a 180-degree turn from recent comments criticizing her unique look.
Oh My Girl recently made their highly anticipated group comeback with “Classified,” and fans are praising the new release for returning to the vibe of the group’s early hits like “Closer.” Many have praised the return of what they call Oh My Girl’s “church girl” aesthetic, and while all of the members have garnered attention with their dreamy styles, Mimi’s outfits in particular have become a hot topic.
A post titled “Mimi’s Style That Made Fans Go Crazy” has reached over 100,000 views on Korean community site Pann, showcasing two of Mimi’s looks from recent music shows. The praise comes after several viral posts by Pann expressing mixed opinions and criticisms of Mimi’s recent style. When one netizen applauded Mimi for standing firm on her likes and dislikes when she wore braids for a recent variety show appearance, the response was scathing.
Many complained that she didn’t fit the “innocent” style of Oh My Girl, while others argued that it was reckless not to give up her personal style for group shows. Similar comments were made about clips of Mimi’s appearance in the clips of Dingo‘S Killing Voice.
Now, however, netizens say that Mimi has found the perfect balance between her personal preferences and the style of the rest of the group.
