There will be no dancing until next year after the MRI

Lee Chaeyeon delivered unfortunate news to fans after her recent Instagram Stories.

Starting in December, the idol will take a break from dancing after his ruptured disc, as shown in his MRI.

“Let’s go together, man. Please take care of me,” he said as he released the scan showing his herniated disc.

“Honestly, it’s a miracle it didn’t break sooner. You worked hard,” he said, adding a photo of himself bending his back as part of his dance routine.

To give the disc ample time to recover, she vowed to refrain from warm-ups, although she expressed her disappointment at how good back stretches make her feel.

“CLOSED. Basically it means a short break from dancing. We will fully resume next year.”

While Chaeyeon did not specify how long her break will last, considering the nature of her injury, it could take anywhere from six weeks to three months, according to health news outlet HSS.

This also means fans won’t be able to see her perform for that long. However, his fans, CHAERISH, support his decision to prioritize his health. After the news broke, they sent her messages of encouragement through social media platforms like X and the online community, theqoo.

“Health comes first, don’t get sick,” said one fan.

“Ah, please be careful, seriously. You’re still so young,” another supporter recalled.

Lee Chaeyeon is currently 24 years old. She initially made her name as the lead dancer of the girl group IZ*ONE, which launched in 2018.

After the group Project Girl disbanded in 2021, she continued her solo career in 2022 and became famous for her song “KNOCK”.
