In the latest episode of her YouTube show, Palette, UI formally apologized to members of IVE.
On January 20, KST, IVE appeared on the show as special guests. Immediately after saying goodbye to them, IU shared a behind-the-scenes story, saying that she really wanted to have the girl group on the show, but the plan was canceled due to her ill health. IU then stood and offered a 90-degree bow. of an apology, immediately sending his boys into a panic.
IU kept apologizing profusely when Wonyoung he interjected, consoling her that she shouldn’t feel this way. Despite her reassurance, IU couldn’t help but feel regretful, as she stated that the group had prepared a lot for their previous appearance. They were supposed to perform a cover of IU for the “Palette Switch” segment of the show and had dedicated an entire day to filming despite their busy schedules.
IU explained that on the day of filming she got sick unexpectedly. “When I woke up, I felt something was wrong… I had a high fever,” he added. He had to interrupt filming to visit the doctor.
Although the situation was unavoidable, IU felt so sorry about the last-minute cancellation that she even contacted her hairdresser, who also works with IVE, to express her sincere apologies. She even apologized Lisa in person when they met in the elevator.
While IU blurted out a couple more “I am sorry”-s, Wonyoung reassured her again that all the members simply wanted her to get well soon when they heard about the cancellation of the registration.
But the “Love Wins All” singer confessed that the incident was still on her mind, calling it “the worst thing he (she) did in 2024.
