For a K-Drama star, kissing a co-worker is just part of the job. That said, even the most seasoned stars can get flustered sometimes!
Netflix‘S The Trunk follows Seo Hyun Jin such as No In Ji (a contract wedding supplier) and Gong Yoo as Han Jeong Won (a lonely music producer). This series shocked viewers with its steamy sex scenes, but also features heart-pounding romantic moments between the protagonists.
In an interview for Netflix, Seo Hyun Jin and Gong Yoo discussed their complex characters and shared behind-the-scenes tidbits. They also reacted to some of their kissing scenes. The first scene, where Gong Yoo’s character leans in to kiss him without any warning, left Seo Hyun Jin speechless. “Hey, hey, hey,” Gong Yoo exclaimed. “He doesn’t even turn on his indicators and change lanes.”
“Ahjussi!” Seo Hyun Jin said in response to his costar’s comment, jokingly calling him old.
As the intensity increased, so did their reactions. “Enough!” Gong Yoo said, jokingly scolding the characters. Seo Hyun Jin covered his face for most of the scene and fanned himself, feeling the heat.
This wasn’t the only kissing scene the staff included in the interview. When another kissing scene began, both actors burst into laughter. Gong Yoo joked, “They never miss an opportunity, right?”
Seo Hyun Jin said that the director complimented Gong Yoo’s kissing skills, but Gong Yoo said that the director was making fun of him.
