The trunk of the car of the singer D4vd found with the corpse in Los Angeles, the police investigated the possible murder

The shocking news emerged from Los Angeles while a body was discovered in a vehicle recorded under the singer D4vd (real name David Anthony Burke, 20). The authorities have confirmed that they are investigating the case as a potential murder.

On 9 September (local time), the US media including NBC and ABC reported that a corpse inside a bag was found in the front trunk (“frunk”) of the vehicle, which was kept in a trailer courtyard in Los Angeles, California.

The police had received a complaint on a strong smell from the car. At the inspection, they found a body that was seriously decomposed and damaged, making identification impossible at this stage.

The car had been discovered abandoned near Hollywood two days before and remained away. The disturbing discovery was made after the trailer courtyard staff brought the smell.

The Los Angeles police department said they are working to determine the cause of death, with the murder as a possibility. The County Coroner office of Los Angeles is leading a detailed autopsy to identify the victim and establish the time and cause of death.

Police sources revealed that while the car is recorded in D4VD, it was one of the numerous vehicles he owns and may have been used by people around him.

D4VD team has released a declaration: “D4vd has been warned on the accident and, despite being currently on tour, is fully collaborating with the police investigations.”

D4VD, who gained popularity through social media, debuted as a songwriter and released his first album with an entire figure in April 2025. He is currently on his “Watch out” World Tour and performed in Minneapolis the day on which the discovery was made.

The artist has expanded his global presence, performing in Korea last year, appearing on MNET Mulodunto M. Stage in May and collaborate with Stray Kids’s Hyunjin “Always loves” released in June.

In a shocking turning point, another body was found on 10 September in a different car in a courtyard of separated trailer in the south of Los Angeles. The police did not confirm any connection between the two cases.

While the investigations continue, fans and the world of entertainment are awaiting further updates on what could become one of the most shocking stories to hit the music industry this year.
