On the afternoon of November 20, Song Joong Ki announced that he had become a father for the second time. It was revealed that the couple’s second child is a baby girl and both mother and baby are in good health.
In his fan café, Song Joong Ki shared a photo of his daughter’s hand along with a heartfelt message:
“I am currently in Rome, and it has been over a year since I welcomed my first child here. I am incredibly grateful to announce that we have been blessed with another beautiful baby boy. Our lovely princess was born healthy. Both my wife and daughter are in good health and are currently resting.”
Before that, according to News1’s coverage on August 8, Song Joong-ki’s wife Katy is currently pregnant with their second child. They have informed family and close friends of the news and are focusing on prenatal education and childbirth preparation.

As most of my Ki Aile (the official name of Song Joong Ki fandom) fans already know, I have another joyful news to share with you first. I am currently in Rome, and it has been just over a year since I welcomed my first child here. I am incredibly grateful to announce that I am now blessed with another beautiful baby. Our lovely princess was born healthy and both my wife and baby are well and resting comfortably.
I truly believe that it is because of the love and unwavering support of so many of you, especially my dear Ki Aile fans, who always have faith and believe in me that such wonderful blessings continue to come my way. I am deeply, sincerely grateful.
