Following the release of BLACKPINK’s Rosé’s first solo album, “rosie,” which mainly revolves around the female idol’s past relationship with a “toxic ex,” various speculations have surfaced regarding who her ex might be.
In particular, there were some fans who nominated Jaden Smith and cited some “evidence”, such as Jaden’s updates and past jobs, as well as his passion for skateboarding – a feature of the ex in the “Toxic Till The End” MV by Rosé.

However, some other fans pointed the finger at another person, who Rosé reportedly followed on her former private Instagram, @vampirehollie, during her “skateboarding phase” in 2022.
This person is none other than Jason Choi, a skateboard teacher who has worked with several skate shops. In the past, Choi posted a photo of a rose on her Instagram story, leading to further speculation.
As speculation spread, Jason Choi’s SNS began to fill with toxic comments, with netizens insulting him by saying things like: “Rosé really settled for the golum” AND “Rosé has a strange taste.”
Choi ultimately had to deny the situation himself, claiming that he’s “not BLACKPINK’s ex Rosé,” but rather “a big fan” in a new Instagram story. The teacher also expressed his confusion and asked netizens not to be rude, possibly addressing the toxic comments.
