THE SBS Entertainment Awards have been postponed to January next year due to scheduling adjustments.

The network announced active considerations to reject the SBS Entertainment Awards in January 2025, as reported by Star News on December 31.

Originally, 2024 SBS Entertainment Awards were scheduled to take place at 8.40pm on December 31 at the SBS Prism Tower in Seoul.

Following the tragic Jeju Air crash at Muan Airport which threw the nation into a period of mourning, SBS has decided to postpone the event to honor the tragedy and the lives of the 179 victims of the crash.

Although most year-end awards shows are pre-recorded privately and later broadcast, the SBS network announced on December 30 that they would not proceed with tapings of the awards show.

The broadcaster also said that decisions regarding the announcement of the awards results and their format remain undecided and will be revealed at the next show.

SBS is currently working to reschedule the event for January 2025 and will adapt the schedule of celebrity attendees accordingly.
