At midnight on 11 August, the MV for “GO!”—The introductory track of the Cortis debut album “Color out of the lines“ – It was loaded on the official Youtube channel of Hybe Labels. With a minimal layer trap with intense synthesizer sounds, “GO!” It is a song to which all members have contributed both in the texts and in the composition. The track boasts trucking lines such as, “We don’t need any other sign” “Bring the new rhythm, bring the new success, bring the new sheet”, “Call a new wave, like Poseidon,” AND “Look at me, spit him.”
Some texts reflect the personal experiences of the members, including, “Ever since I was a child I have been the strange of the neighborhood.” A particular line-*”Wanna makes a blow like a hitman”*-has attracted online attention to refer to the president of Hybe Bang Si-Hyuk, who is widely known in the music sector with the name of his producer “Hitman Bang”.
Cortis underlines their identity as a “young creator of creators” who co-wine music, videos and other key content. Faithful to that vision, the group has co-director the “GO!” music video alone.
