They don’t believe his side of the story.
After losing the support of thousands of fans, the famous singer is now speaking out about the controversy that has damaged his public image. He personally addressed each statement to clarify what is fact and what is fiction.
Malaysian singer-songwriter Firdhaus rose to fame in 2020 after debuting in the Mandopop industry. His ballad “Gulf of Alaska” went viral on Douyin (Chinese TikTok), attracting the attention of music lovers during the COVID-19 pandemic. Firdhaus has become a popular singer in China, but his covers of songs in Mandarin, English and Korean are helping him reach a wider audience.
For four years, Firdhaus dated a fellow Malaysian singer Diorlying Tan. The couple announced their split last October, a year after going public with their relationship. After the separation, rumors of infidelity circulated online.
According to media reports, Tan made comments about Firdhaus earlier this week using a private social media account. He supposedly wrote, “I never said that [Firdhaus] deceived, hand we found someone else pretty quickly,” and claimed he spread lies about her spending his money.
Since November 16, Firdhaus, who has steadily built a solid following on social media, has reportedly lost around 30,000 followers on Instagram. On November 18, he addressed various rumors and claims, including his alleged infidelity. “I have not been unfaithful” he wrote. “but I don’t deny that I met other people in the two months after our breakup.”
He shed some light on his current love life, telling fans that he is still single but is currently meeting a woman who he has developed feelings for.
I met this girl a few years ago during a photo shoot. Although we worked together a few times, we didn’t become friends until we spoke again for some filming for my concerts in Australia last month. I have really good feelings for her and even went to visit her in Australia on my days off, but we are not together.

He urged netizens to stop denigrating the woman by posting photos of her and her family and to stop calling her names like “homewrecker” AND “mistress.” Firdhaus also addressed the financial claim made by Tan by stating that their expenses had been split equally while they lived together. He denied using his money to finance his musical projects.
As of November 20, two days after Firdhaus posted his statement, the singer was still losing followers and public opinion was mixed at best. Some netizens believe that Firdhaus has been unfaithful to Tan and mocked him on Instagram.
