The next TV Drama Monday-Tasday Pleasure of not knowing you (Working title) has officially confirmed its cast and completed a lively script reading session. The photos of the event, revealed on August 1, showed an impressive ensemble led by Lee Jung-Jae and Lim Ji-Yeon, whose combination on the screen has captured attention thanks to theirs 18 -year -old gap.
This marks the return of Lee Jung-Jae to K-dramas after six years, following the global applause for Play of squid. In Pleasure of not knowing youHe plays IM Hyun-Joon, a faded national steps known for his passionate romantic roles. Lim ji-yeon, fresh from its powerful performance in GloryHe recites as Wi Jung-Shin, an elite political journalist relegated to the beating of entertainment after a scandal on corruption that pulls his career.
Despite the initial reactions to their age difference, the experts say that the chemistry of the duo during reading the script has been undeniable. Fans now buzz with the anticipation for the way in which the relationship of their characters – forged through the media scandals and the chaos of the sector – will evolve.
Directed by Kim Ga-Ram (Good partner, However) and written by Jung Yeo-Rong (Doctor CHA), the drama explores reputation, reinvention and unexpected romanticism within the world of a high level of the Korean show.
