Fans were stunned by reports that a HYBE employee inspected NewJeans’ dorm with a body camera.
On January 13, a post on the community forum, titled “HYBE employee placed a body camera and entered NewJeans members’ dorm after they left,” sparked reactions on social media. The author (OP) shared a surprising excerpt from Ilgan Sports, reminiscent of NewJeans’ remaining days with ADOR.
In December 2024, the NewJeans officially concluded their programs in Japan and left the ADOR dorm. The members were obliged to reside in that specific dormitory until the conclusion of their contractual obligations with the HYBE subsidiary.
He also shared some details regarding the group’s transportation routine, followed by claims that the ADOR dormitory was inspected by a HYBE staff member shortly after the group’s departure from the company.
“When members gather at ADOR for their official programs, they arrive individually by their own transportation,” he shared.
“Similarly, after completing their programs, they return home in the same way, following a commuting dynamic. When NewJeans left the ADOR accommodation, HYBE staff, equipped with body cameras, carefully inspected the dormitory in preparation .”
He added that several directors and managers who were there to support NewJeans have resigned from ADOR.
When reports of the staff inspection began circulating on social media, netizens flocked online to express their outrage against HYBE.

One fan ranted: “They took the photos at night/before dawn and uploaded them at 3am. Instead of showing up during the day, they did this. It’s so gross and disgusting.”
