The story will be featured in the March 6 broadcast of Moo No Plan 3 , a variety show airing on MBN and Channel S. In the episode, host Jeon Hyun-moo and travel creator Kwak Jun-bin travel to Jeju Island with Pyo Ye-jin as their “food friend,” enjoying a culinary tour while exploring local markets and restaurants.
During the trip, the three visit the Daejeong Five-Day Market near Mosulpo Port, where they seek out local dining options and share personal stories. One of the restaurants they stop at originally served grilled tilefish, but later became famous for its bommal kalguksu, a sea snail noodle dish known for capturing the flavors of Jeju’s ocean.
After tasting the dish, Kwak Jun-bin praised the meal, saying it tasted like “a rich and elegant seaweed soup”. Pyo Ye-jin also appeared delighted with the food and joked, “Both of our birthdays were recently, so it feels like a birthday party.”
During the conversation, Jeon Hyun-moo brought out the actress’s unexpected background. He admitted he didn’t know she was a flight attendant and also heard she had once been the youngest in the profession. Pyo Ye-jin confirmed the story, explaining that she started working as a flight attendant when she was just 19 and stayed in the job for about a year and a half.
He also explained why he ultimately decided to leave a stable career in aviation to pursue acting. According to the actress, she began to think seriously about her future and wanted to take on a new challenge. “When I thought about my life ten years later, I wanted to try something that involved risk-taking,” he explained.
The decision was far from easy. Pyo Ye-jin revealed that during the early days of her acting career, she worked tirelessly to find opportunities. “When I started, I would visit about ten places a day just to present my profile,” he said, recalling the difficulties he faced while trying to break into the industry. Pyo Ye-jin eventually made her acting debut in 2012 through the MBC drama Here Comes Mr. Oh, marking the beginning of her acting career.
