Former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin (currently head of OOAK Records) saw his legal battle with BELIFT LAB and Source Music temporarily halted.
According to the legal community, on March 30, the 12th Civil Division of the Seoul Western District Court changed the hearing dates for BELIFT LAB and Source Music’s damages lawsuits against Min Hee Jin to “undetermined dates”.
A “undetermined date” it means that the court has not scheduled a specific subsequent hearing and will schedule it at a later time, effectively suspending the trial. While the exact reason for the suspension remains unclear, legal experts speculate that it is closely related to the ongoing appeal in the put option case between Min Hee Jin and HYBE. The trial is expected to resume once the outcome of the case becomes clearer. Notably, the BELIFT LAB hearing was originally scheduled for March 27 but did not take place and has now been converted to an undetermined date.

Previously, on February 12, the First District Court ruled in favor of Min Hee Jin in the KRW 25.6 billion put option dispute with HYBE. The court acknowledged that its concerns about plagiarism and alleged album promotion practices were valid, leading to the ruling. However, HYBE has since appealed, keeping the legal battle ongoing. Many believe that the outcome of this appeal could significantly affect the lawsuits involving BELIFT LAB and Source Music, which could explain the suspension.
Separately, ADOR filed a lawsuit last year for damages worth around KRW 43 billion against Min Hee Jin and former NewJeans member Danielle. The first preparatory hearing in the case was held on March 26.
