During a recent Livestream, Matthew was asked about his current favorite film and, in response, he mentioned Mo. The series speaks of a Palestinian refugee called Mo Najjar and its chaotic path from an asylum seeker in the United States to citizenship. The show is created by the Palestinian-American comedian and writer Mo Amerwho also plays the owner of the series.
The series was published for the first time on Netflix in 2022 and received several prizes, including a Peabody Award. His second season was released in January 2025.
