THE MBC Entertainment Awards 2024originally scheduled to air on December 29, it was rescheduled for broadcast for Lunar New Year.
The event was originally scheduled to take place on December 29, but due to scheduling conflicts and a period of national mourning due to the Jeju plane crash, the event was canceled, OSEN reported.
Network MBC confirmed that the ceremony has been rescheduled for Lunar New Year 2025, which falls on January 29, according to a report from OSEN on Thursday.
After the national mourning on January 4, the network intends to finalize the new date and details of the ceremony.
MBC also announced the rescheduling of other programs, including MBC Theater Awards AND MBC Gayo Daejejeonoriginally scheduled for December 30th and 31st.
The two awards shows were initially intended to be broadcast live and were later switched to recorded formats.
MBC drama Press Want will air on January 5 at 5pm KST, with official announcements exact MBC Entertainment Awards 2024 program to be announced at a later date.
