On January 29, KST, a normal citizen identified as “A”, shared a post on DC inside showing that they had filed a formal complaint against the MBC CEO, A Jeeong Jun together with the heads of the department and the colleagues of the deceased meteorologist. The post also showed that the complaints were presented at the Soul Mapo police station e The Ministry of Labor and Labor.

The OP (original poster) argued that OH colleagues may have violated the anti-stalking law by contacting her repeatedly after her work and behaving negatively with her, contributing to her death. They also accused MBC CEO and employees of helping the destruction of tests and professional negligence.

The OP also said that Oh had informed four MBC officials of bullying, which was supported by tests such as recordings and his suicide note. But MBC denied having ever been informed of the situation. This denial by the network, as supported by the OP, suggested that the possibility that the reporting process of MBC was inefficient and ineffective.

OP’s complaint has referred to Article 76-3 of the Labor Standards Act, which establishes that employers must carry out an impartial investigation and adopt protective measures when bullying is reported or detected in the workplace, even without the explicit request of the victim. OP claimed that MBC had ignored this legal liability.

In the meantime, Oh Yoanna’s family is also pursuing legal action against his colleagues. On January 23, they filed a cause for damage against some of his colleagues at the central district court of Seoul for harassment in the workplace. MBC has issued a formal response, promising a factual investigation at the request of the family in mourning. But on January 30, the family declared that he had not requested it, but hoped that the company would instead lead an internal investigation and issued official excuses.
