South Korea’s top-rated educational drama “Taxi Driver” returns for its third season.
This popular series follows Kim Do-gi (played by Lee Je-hoon), a taxi driver who enacts revenge on behalf of wronged victims, along with his dedicated team. Since the main cast of the third season was recently announced, the anticipation among fans has grown. According to a report from Sports Seoul last month, Lee Je-hoon, Pyo Ye-jin and Kim Eui-sung are confirmed to reprise their roles and lead the new season.
Record breaking with the second season, success abroad for “Taxi Driver”
In the second season, “Taxi Driver” not only captivated domestic audiences but also achieved considerable success internationally. It consistently broke its own viewership records, peaking at 20.9%. Within ten days of its release, it topped the charts in 16 countries on Asia’s largest OTT platform, Viu. With a rating of 8.8 on MyDramaList and ranking first in popularity among Korean dramas, “Taxi Driver” has established itself as a standout film that elevates Korean dramas globally.
Lee Je-hoon returns as Kim Do-gi
Lee Je-hoon, widely loved as Kim Do-gi since Season 1, returns in Season 3 as the former Special Forces soldier turned taxi driver intent on avenging the victims. In the second season, it introduced new characters and similar transformations are eagerly awaited for the new season.
