The Korean star accused of sexually assaulting the actress’ wife’s sister could face 5 years in prison

Announcer Yoo young Jae faced his fourth hearing at the Seongnam branch of the Suwon District Court over allegations of sexual misconduct involving a family member of his ex-wife, the actress Sun Woo Eun Sook. The 55-year-old is accused of forcibly molesting Sunwoo’s older sister, referred to as Ms. A, on multiple occasions.

Yoo has consistently denied all allegations. Despite this, prosecutors are seeking a five-year prison sentence with additional sanctions, including mandatory counseling, public disclosure of his personal information and a one-year restriction on employment.

The prosecution argued that the nature of the crime was serious and stressed that the victim’s testimony remained consistent throughout the investigation. They also criticized Yoo for showing no signs of remorse at any stage of the legal process.

According to reports, the alleged incidents occurred between March and October last year at least five times. Ms A provided evidence to the authorities, including recorded conversations and medical documentation, claiming that she had suffered emotional distress and had been diagnosed with panic disorder following the incidents.
