The Korean public switches sides, showing support for Hwayoung in the T-ARA debacle

The audience is once again on Hwayoung’s side.

In a twist, the public changed its position after a shocking complaint from the coaches they worked with TARE between 2010 and 2013. Two trainers spoke about bullying Hwayoung had experimented in the group. They blamed the company for not mediating and said members were unhappy with her joining the group.

I have already seen the contents of the T-ARA group chat. Right before their concert in Japan, Hwayoung hurt her leg and couldn’t walk properly. It was completely swollen. Because of this, Hwayoung apologized in the group chat for not being able to perform with everyone. Normally, people would respond with “get well soon”, “don’t worry”, things like that. But all the members sent “LOL”. It was really shocking to me. Just as many would already know, the members have all posted things like “difference in willpower”, “applauding a genius”, things like that on Twitter, attacking Hwayoung. Bullying doesn’t have to be physical, right… Since no one wanted to share a room with Hwayoung, she lived out of the living room. The company knew it too. They should have mediated.

A coach also talked about how Hwayoung had been slapped by another member.

One day, Hwayoung walked in with a red cheek. I asked her what happened and she froze. It was definitely done with a slap on the cheek. I imagined that she had been hit and only then did she confess that she had been hit [redacted.] This was one of the things that revealed to me that he was being bullied by others.

In response to new information about the bullying controversy, the public turned their support to Hwayoung. Many reiterated that they believed her then. Since some members of T-ARA were known as iljins in their school days, audiences were more likely to believe that they would continue their actions even after their debut.

  • Crazy… They really played at being bullies even after becoming female idols. Because that’s how they lived before.
  • So it’s true that she was a victim of bullying…
  • She continued to be criticized after the T-ARA issue. I wonder how she held it back, she must have felt so offended.
  • I gasp.
  • I thought I was living in a parallel world because everyone supported T-ARA…
  • If they used their real names for the interview, they probably actually knew what was going on at the time. I’m reconfirming how mischievous and evil the members were.
  • Did they really think that people took Hwayoung’s side back then because they were stupid? You can have full control of the situation simply by looking at it. As time passed, they all grouped together and acted as if they were the victims. Isn’t that funny? This is just like APRIL and their cult fans.
  • Aigoo…
  • Kwang Soo really did something here. He made T-ARA eat it while they were talking about a reunion.
