In December 2023, ex LABOUM member Yulhee AND FTISLAND‘S Choi Minhwan filed for divorce, officially ending their five-year marriage. In their divorce, Choi Minhwan took full custody of all three children.
Yulhee is currently appearing on the program All alone to discuss his divorce and faced criticism for doing so. She was also accused of “hurting her children” in doing so, but shared content showing her relationship with them.

In a new episode of the program, Yulhee discussed how the divorce came about, saying it felt sudden and unexpected.
So I didn’t notice [the divorce] it was too sudden. That’s why I have so many happy memories; I never felt like a crisis was coming. From the moment I found out, it was like my own personal hell.

He added that he thought they would be able to overcome the situation, but ultimately chose divorce.
When the idea of divorce came up, I wanted to get over it. I thought I could overcome the pain and difficulties because we loved each other and because we had children. But as the emotional gap between us grew deeper and deeper, we decided to divorce each other for the sake of each other.

When a member of the production staff commented that it must have taken courage to talk about the divorce, Yulhee stated that “I didn’t talk about it, so I don’t know.“
