I would like to offer my sincere apologies to baseball fans and everyone involved for the concern I have caused with my careless actions. Even if what was reported in the media is not entirely true, I spoke directly about this matter with my wife and we decided to move forward together. We look ahead with determination.

From now on, I will work hard to change myself and give back to those who have been disturbed. I will focus exclusively on baseball, training as usual at the Tokorozawa facility. To the Lions fans and the Lions organization that I have let down, I will do my best in every game to regain their trust until the end of my baseball career. I’m really sorry about this.
