The Girls’ Generation Toeyeon calls SM Entertainment following ridiculous disputes to cancel the concert

Declaration that urges feedback and compensation relating to the cancellation of the Taeyeon concert Il Time in Tokyo

On April 24, 2025, the Global Fan Union of Artist Toeyeon (hereinafter called “Toeyeon Global Fan Union”) issued the following declaration relating to the unilateral cancellation of the Japanese Toeyeon concert for the “The Tense” tour and the consequent damage to the fans.

The Toeyeon “The Tense” tour, which began in March 2025, was welcomed with support and enthusiasm not only by local fans, but also by global fans around the world. The Japan concert was a significant event that many fans, both domestic and international, planned to participate.
However, the concert was canceled only two days before, on April 17, 2025, citing a delay in the arrival of concert equipment. This has led to several serious problems:
• Despite the apparent risk of cancellation, no notice was given and the announcement was made only two days before the scheduled dates.
• On April 16, 2025, the ticket of the ticketing platform had to announce seats agreements. However, at 20:00 on that day, a one -day postponement was announced, followed by a further delay on April 17th.
• During this postponement period, many fans who had already traveled or arrived in Japan for the concert have undergone direct inconveniences.
• In the end, at 10:30 pm (KST) on April 17, the concert was officially canceled due to the delay of the arrival of the equipment.

The cancellation notice was not communicated through the official social media accounts of the artist (Instagram, Twitter, etc.), but rather through an e -mail from the ticket board tickets and a post on the official websites of Toeyeon and Girls’ Generation. As a result, many fans realized the cancellation only after arriving at the headquarters.
The fact that the cancellation notice was published on an external site one day before the concert, and shared through a 24 -hour Instagram story at 12:06 (KST) on the day of the concert (which was automatically canceled the following day), is considered an extremely irresponsible response and Insincenta that has ignored the severity of the situation.
The scarce management of the situation by SMANTERTAINMENT has caused significant financial and emotional damage to the fans who had made transport agreements, flights and accommodation from Japan, Korea, Canada of the United States, Brazil and other countries.

Until now, SMANTERTainment has not issued any direct excuse or detailed compensation plan through the artist’s official social media or the agency communication channels.
The only communication was a translation of the Japanese website published on the concert day, on April 19, 2025
These actions clearly indicate that smeniortainment, the party directly responsible for the accident, has not fulfilled its obligations. Fan Union finds it unacceptable.
Sm Entertainment must promptly lead an in -depth investigation on the accident, clearly reveal where responsibility is found, act against those who are responsible and issue a formal plan of apologies and compensation for the fans concerned.

It is the responsibility of the agency to protect your artist and support their reputation. The silence and negligence of smeniorinment must be condemned. We strongly urge a quick and sincere response that faces all the points raised in this statement and a commitment to reconstruct trust with fans.
