The former NCT Toeil member must face the first trial for the accusations of sexual aggression on May 12th

According to Star News, the 26th criminal division of the central district court of Soul set on 12 May as a date for the first hearing in the ex process NCT Toeil member and two others, who have been indicted for violating the law on special cases concerning the punishment of sexual crimes (almost-space aggravated).

When it was revealed that the accusation provided for “almost aggravated rape”, a speculation occurred on the fact that a weapon had been involved. However, the police clarified that this was not the case. This accusation can be applied if a weapon is used or if two or more individuals commit a sexual attack together with a person incapable of resistance due to physical or mental inability.

In June 2024, the Banpo Police Station churches arrested for all three suspicions, but the court denied them, stating that the suspicions had admitted the crime and had not placed a flight risk.

As a result of the accident, Taeil was expelled from both NCT and his agency, smeniortainment. On October 15, 2024, sm Entertainment officially announced, “We have terminated our exclusive contract with Toeil starting from October 15th. Taeil is currently under criminal investigation from the accusation. This falls on the basis of the reasons for termination of the contract and we have concluded, through a mutual agreement, that trust could no longer be maintained”.

Taeil debuted as a member of NCT in 2016 and was active in units NCT 127 AND NCT U.
