While the family of the deceased singer and actress Suli asks for an official statement by Kim Soo-Hyun regarding Suli’s naked scenes in the film “Real”, the original director of the film Lee Jung -ub shared his thoughts.
The former “Reale” director speaks
On March 28, Lee Jung-Sub published on his personal social media account, “Someone mentioned an old tweet that I wrote in 2017 on having been replaced as director of”True. “I suppose that the film has been educated again because of a certain actor these days … in no way – could they really be them? Now that the film has come out, I can say it with confidence: I absolutely had the responsibility of 0% on how that film went out.”
He added, “Thanks. He suffered me deeply for a long time”, expressing his longtime frustrations.
“Real” is a noir action film that tells the story of two men involved in the largest casino operation in Asia. Initially, Lee Jung-Sub directed most of the film, but during the post-production, the role of the direction was transferred to Lee Sa-Rong (now Lee Robe), Kim Soo-Hyun cousin and current CEO of Gold Medalist.
At the time, the production company explained, “The director resigned because of the creative differences regarding the direction of the film”, adding it “Post-production is currently underway.”
From the recent emergence of minorly report accusations involving Kim Soo-Hyun and the deceased Kim Sae-S, Lee Jung sub has used his social media to repeatedly criticize the entertainment and media industry.
On 11 March he wrote, “Crossing the Roccaforte of the media of South Korea, its business interests and the political and financial circles to which these stars are clinging is almost impossible. Nobody includes the despair of exposing this impenetrable sign to become a victim itself.” He also republished content relating to “Real”, Kim Soo-Hyun, Sulli and Kim Sae-Sign.
So, on March 13, he added, “Too many of my beloved friends died. Thinking about them, I feel like I had survived miserably and cowardly. This world is too cowardly to stay healthy.”
The deceased family speaks
On March 28, Sulli’s older brother, Choi, released a statement through Kwon Young-chan, head of the Celea Celebrity Suicide Prevention Association. In the declaration, he said, “At the time of Sulli’s funeral in 2019, there were signs that pressure had been made to perform naked and bed scenes during the filming of True. “
He continued, “There have also been statements that explicit scenes were added not originally in the script. Although according to what was reported it was a double of the body on the set, contrary to the explanations that the double was not available due to health problems, the testimonies suggest that the double was actually there.” He then invited Kim Soo-Hyun and the director Lee Sa-Rong to clarify their position on the matter.
In response, the gold medal declared to “currently checking the facts” and abstained from further comments.
