On their 1000 day from the debut, Newjeans face legal setbacks while the Court supports Adr’s injunction, prohibiting independent promotions.
Newjeans lose legal appeal, solo activities officially prohibited
On April 16, the civil agreement division of the Court of the Central District of Soul 50, led by judge Kim Sang-Hoon, officially rejected an objection presented by all five members of Newjeans.
The objection contested the sentence of March 21 which granted the request of the ADR Agency to maintain the management rights on the group and prohibit members from working in contracts or independent activities.
The injunction, originally granted to Ador, legally prevents members from pursuing solo promotions or by signing individual agreements outside the agency. This sentence was activated after the group announced in November 2024 that they were terminating their exclusive contract, citing “A non -fulfillment of obligations” by the agency. Ador contrasted from the case for the validity of the contract, claiming that a loss of trust is not a legal basis for termination.
Following the emergency announcement, the members began to organize themselves with the name “Njz”, pushing Ador to undertake rapid legal action. Despite an audition on April 9, which lasted only ten minutes, the Court confirmed the original injunction, declaring that the termination of the contract was missing from a sufficient legal base.
Newjeans thank fans for the 1000 day milestone
Despite the Court’s sentence, on April 16 he also scored a profoundly emotional moment for Newjeans and their fans. The group has safely celebrated their 1000 day from the debut, publishing a sincere message on their shared Instagram account, @mhdhh_friends.
Next to a photo of a sunflower, they wrote:
“Bunnies ~! 1000 days have passed since we met! These 1000 days with the bunnies have been pure happiness! Every day we spend together is another adventure. I love you x1000.”
The post, although short, resounded strongly with fans in the midst of the uncertainty that surrounds the future of the group. Affectionately known as “bunnies”, Newjeans’ Fandom has remained faithful through the ascent of the group to fame and the current legal turbulence.
For now, Newjeans It remains in limbo, unable to act outside Ador, but still clinging to their bond with fans and the promise of future music, once their legal path becomes clear.
