Before a K-Drama aired, it could attract a lot of attention simply because of who was in it. For example, King The Earth had already gathered a huge following before the first episode due to 2.00pmS June AND Generation of girls‘S YoonA be chosen as protagonists.
However, this can also happen the other way around, with viewers disappointed by the casting choice. This was seen recently with the announcement of actors for an upcoming K-Drama series.
MBCIt’s K-Drama Let’s go to the Moonabout a chaebol who rediscovers his dreams, will air in 2025. Some casting, including actresses Ra Mi Ram AND Jo A Ramhave already been announced.
On October 24 it was reported that the actor Kim Young Dae he would play the chaebol in the series.
Kim Young Dae is known for appearing in Extraordinary you and recently appeared in Shooting stars AND Perfect family.
Several posts announcing the reported casting sparked a wide variety of reactions. Many were excited to see the actor continue to appear in lead roles in the new series.

On the other hand, many were disappointed with this casting and criticized his acting skills. Some have also spoken out about an ongoing trend of “bad” male actors being cast with older, more respected actresses, forced to “carry” their weight.
