Actress Si Eun Park shared the emotional story of losing her baby just weeks before giving birth. Speaking at a recent conference for CBS‘S Hello 2025: together, a new beginning event, the 44-year-old actress opened up about her third miscarriage, which occurred in 2022.
Park, who married a fellow actor Jin Tae Hyun in 2015, he has a college-age adopted daughter. She revealed that the tragic loss occurred just 20 days before she was due to give birth, leaving her and her husband in deep emotional pain.
About two years ago I experienced something painful. I couldn’t meet my baby, who was full term, and I had to send him to heaven. At that moment I was completely overcome with shock and deep grief.

Recalling the moment, Park described the pain of having to say goodbye to a child he never got to meet. The loss left her shattered. However, she noted that her husband’s constant support became her source of strength.
Even though he himself was struggling so much, all he did was focus on me, take care of me and protect me. Even today I can’t forget his look and the expression on his face. They say happiness doubles when shared, and pain is halved when shared. This is exactly how we managed to get back up: looking at each other and sharing the pain.

But there was one thing we had to choose: not to harbor resentment towards anyone, not to look for someone to blame. Blaming someone is actually very easy, but it doesn’t change anything. So, I chose not to even blame myself. Instead, I decided to cherish the nine months I spent with our baby, filled with genuine happiness. Remembering that time, I decided to continue living. And as many of you know, as I recovered from the pain, I started running. This was my way of choosing to move forward, step by step.
