Njz’s future remains uncertain.
The court officially rejected NjzThe attempt (Newjeans) to overturn the ban on their independent activities, marking another setback in the legal battle during the group with their agency, I love.
On April 16, the civil division of the Court of the Central District of Soul rejected the appeal presented by all five members of Njz. The group had tried to challenge a previous judgment of the court that they forbid them to commit themselves to soloist promotions and sign individual contracts, including those relating to advertising and behind.
The legal dispute dates back to November last year, when Njz publicly declared to terminate their exclusive contracts with Ador. However, in a sentence issued on March 21, the Court sided with Ador and granted the agency’s request to prevent members from carrying out activities without the involvement of the label.
The Court accepts Adr’s injunction against Njz (Newjeans) for independent activities
The Court found that there were not enough evidence to demonstrate that Ador had violated the contract or that the relationship between the company and the artists had completely melted. Shortly thereafter, Njz presented an official appeal.
The audience for the injunction took place on April 9, but lasted only about ten minutes, with only legal representatives of both sides. The session ended without changes in position or new topics from both sides.

Starting now, Njz remains inactive following their last group appearance in Complexcon in Hong Kong on March 23. The recent decision of the Court means that the group is not yet authorized to pursue any activities regardless of Ador.
