In March 2021, Yoo In Seok—the former CEO of Yuri Holdings and husband of the actress Han Byul Park— withdrew his plea and was sentenced to probation after admitting to charges of organizing prostitution and embezzling corporate funds as a central figure in the infamous “Burning Sun” scandal.

Then, in an unexpected update shared on November 11, 2024 (KST), the actress revealed that her marriage to the criminal is not over.
In a new video published about her YouTube channel, Park sat down with his longtime friend and comedian Hong In Kyu to discuss her “controversies”. Park herself brought up the topic of her husband, asking Hong if there were any unanswered questions she would like to clarify.
When Hong asked if she and her husband are still on good terms, Park reassured Hong that the two are fine and that she is fine. “looking at him.”
Han Byul Park: Is there anything you would like me to answer about my husband’s scandal? Anything you couldn’t ask for?
Hong In Kyu: Oh, wow. Can I really ask? It’s important to me that you two are on good terms. Are you two okay?
Han Byul Park: Is that what you wanted to ask but couldn’t?
Hong In Kyu: Yeah… I was afraid you two might split up. But, luckily, you two made it.
Han Byul Park: Yes, you already know the answer.
Hong In Kyu: I figured you two had worked things out. You are an intelligent woman.
Han Byul Park: (Gestures) I’m watching him, so…
This isn’t the first time Park’s apparent support for her husband has been publicized. During the arrest warrant consideration, Park submitted a 3-page handwritten letter appealing to her husband, giving her his word that he would “faithfully comply with his investigations without detention.”

Park disabled comments on the video, deemed a protective measure due to possible backlash directed at her and/or her husband following the update.
