A male fan who approached Jessi was attacked on camera.
According to a report by JTBCon September 29, a man approached Jessi to ask for a photo with the star. According to the 18-year-old victim, he was walking towards a convenience store in Apgujeong when he saw Jessi and approached her.
CCTV shows a man in Jessi’s group stopping the fan and reportedly insulting him in English. Jessi reportedly told the fan she couldn’t take a photo and apologized.
The fan also apologized and attempted to leave when another man punched and kicked him.
The fan approached the police and Jessi’s group reportedly left the scene. Police and the fan eventually found the group, who claimed they didn’t know who the fan was.
The victim’s mother visited Jessi’s agency, HUNSin person, where she was reportedly told the perpetrator was Chinese, didn’t know Jessi and was friends with a producer.
The victim then reported the incident to the police.
The lawyer from Jessi’s agency addressed the situation by stating that Jessi had nothing to do with the assault and that they would help find the perpetrator.

The police also said they would check whether the individual had left the country and would also consult the manufacturer to obtain information on the perpetrator.
