On December 2, Dispatch reported evidence suggesting Min Hee-jin’s involvement in tampering allegations, as well as her role in recent controversies surrounding NewJeans’ sudden YouTube live broadcast, member Hanni’s appearance at a National Assembly hearing and the sudden press conference announcing a contract termination.
In November, Min Hee-jin’s team denied: “Claims that I decided to receive investments or sign contracts with someone are completely false.”
However, Dispatch countered its denial, revealing that Min Hee-jin had met directly with “Davolink.” According to their report, on September 30 he met A, the real owner of this company, and the meeting was allegedly facilitated by B, a relative (uncle) of a NewJeans member. Dispatch even published photos of their meeting.
The report also raised allegations of tampering, noting that Min Hee-jin was still a director of ADOR at the time and that NewJeans’ contract runs until July 31, 2029. Therefore, any prior negotiations would qualify as premature contact.
According to Dispatch, B asked A if A could invest around KRW 5 billion and they reportedly discussed various issues for three hours. Two days after the meeting, on October 2, Davolink announced its intention to appoint new directors. However, Min Hee-jin later denied any contact with Davolink. Subsequently, A removed B from the proposed list of directors.
Commenting on the situation, A stated: “They came straight to my house, saying they wanted to meet. Yet they claim there was no contact? Their lies caused the stock price to drop 50% in a short period. It’s absolutely absurd.”
