Taeyeon is going on tour in 2025, and while SONE is excited, some are still angry over SM Entertainment’s latest “incompetence” in managing the idol’s stage for SMTOWN Live 2025.
On January 7, SM Entertainment announced the details of Taeyeon’s upcoming concert, titled TIME. The announcement, which was made on the Weverse and X (formerly Twitter) platforms, included a total of eight concert stages.
The tour will begin at KSPO Dome, Seoul, March 7-9. This will be followed by Taipei (March 16), Manila (March 29), Jakarta (April 12), Macau (April 26), Singapore (May 3-4), Bangkok (May 31-June 1) and Hong Kong (June 7).
The announcement came after news of Taeyeon’s bubble message exposing SM’s mismanagement. The annual SMTOWN LIVE is one of the most anticipated music events among fans, as they will witness their favorite SM artists by offering energetic performances and special stages.
However, Taeyeon, along with her junior bandmate and fellow GOT the beat member, Red Velvet’s Wendy, apologized to fans for not being able to appear at the music event. In Taeyeon’s case, the INVITE the singer implied that her absence on SMTOWN Live was her company’s fault.
Taeyeon explained that she wanted to perform two or three songs at the event and instructed SM to prepare, but unfortunately her request was not granted.
“They weren’t able to make the preparations, so because of that, I ended up not being able to do it at all,” Taeyeon said.
Despite Taeyeon’s concert announcement, some fans expressed frustration with SM and said that this was the company’s way of limiting the damage after her accident.
