Syringe found near the late singer Wheesung’s Body, Autopsy on March 12 to determine the use of drugs

On March 11, Chosun Ilbo reported that a syringe was found near the body of the singer Wheesung, who was discovered died at his home on March 10th.

According to reports, the authorities, including the police and the firefighters, came across the syringe as they managed the remains of Wheesung. The National Forensic Service should lead an autopsy on March 12 to determine if Wheesung had administered drugs and if the substance were illegal. A police spokesman said: “We cannot reveal further details as the investigations are underway”.

Wheesung’s disappearance is particularly shocking as it performed alongside the Kcm singer at their joint concert at the Daegu Exco Auditorium on March 15th.

His agency, Tajo Entertainment, issued an official declaration that confirms: “Wheesung was found in a cardiac arrest in his home in Seoul and was subsequently declared dead”. They expressed deep pain, affirming: “His family, colleagues and staff of Tajo Entertainment are all in mourning for this tragic loss. We have a broken heart to share such devastating news with his devoted fans who have always supported him, they have also asked the limitation of spreading un verageted voices, urge: “for family reasons in mourning, we kindly ask that speculative news and unfounded voices are avoided”.

Wheesung made his debut in 2002 and gained enormous popularity with numerous successful songs such as Can’t We, The Day We Meet Again and Insomnia. However, his career was spoiled by legal problems, since he was sentenced for usual use of propofol between September and November 2019. He was sentenced to one year in prison, suspended for two years.
