On October 9, director Jang Hang-jun shared his thoughts on actors with great personalities in a YouTube video. Here the director talked about several actors he has worked with who are known for their good character.
In particular, after reading one of the anonymous questions that had been asked to him, which was: “Who are the 3 best actors with the best personalities you have met?”, Jang Hang-jun thought for a while before naming Ahn Jae-hong, Kang Ha-neul, and Suzy without ranking them.
Jang first explained why he chose Ahn Jae-hong, saying, “Ahn Jae-hong gets along very well with the staff. We shot in Andong for a long time and on his days off I would see him walking around and he gave me the feeling of being a quiet and introverted person. It was so endearing and cute. He’s someone who’s easy to be around no matter where you go.”
Song Eun-yi, also present, agrees, adding: “I have seen Ahn Jae-hong on set a few times, and although he is shy, he is also witty and has the ability to make people feel at ease around him.”
Jang then explained his choice of Kang Ha-neul, saying: “Most actors tend to stay in the car during breaks, but Ha-neul chatted with the ladies from the lunch truck. He simply loves being around people.
Finally, Jang mentioned Suzy, prefaced: “I only met her once, but…”
Then he went on to praise her greatly, saying: “His reputation in the industry is really good. Among actresses, people love to work with her. It’s like having an extra staff member on set. It’s not easy for actresses to be like that.”
