Super Junior’s Shindong recently shared several photos on his personal account, writing: “I saw the ocean, I walked a lot and I ate well. I traveled like a YouTuber”, along with snapshots of his trip to the United States. The photos were taken near the beach and coastline around Irvine, Orange County, capturing relaxing moments from his travels.
What immediately caught attention, however, was Shindong’s noticeably slimmer figure and revamped images. Compared to his image during the peak years of the Super Junior promotion, his current appearance has marked a striking change. Online reactions quickly poured in, with netizens commenting, “I didn’t recognize him at first,” “He lost so much weight,” AND “Congratulations on the successful diet.”

Fans, in particular, expressed mixed emotions: both admiration and concern. Comments ranged from “It looks fantastic” AND “So beautiful, perfect boyfriend material” TO “He has lost too much weight; I am worried about his health. Health comes first.”

Shindong has previously spoken openly about her long struggle with diet. In the KBS2 variety show “Problematic child at home”, revealed a bittersweet story: “I lost 37 kilograms in five months, but it only took three months to gain it back. I also tried Wegovy, but it didn’t work. The doctor told me, ‘Shindong, you beat Wegovy.'” His honest confession brought laughter while highlighting the challenges he faced.

Debuting in 2005 as a member of Super Junior, Shindong quickly attracted attention for breaking the mold of the typical “skinny idol,” earning praise for his powerful dancing skills and confident stage presence. Beyond music, he continued to shine as an entertainer, showcasing a sharp wit and strong variety show chemistry on numerous programs.
