Rumors circulated after she was spotted with Bang Si Hyuk.
According to an exclusive December 19 report from Seoul threadcontroversial streamer Seyeon juice won a case against a YouTube creator who spread false claims implicating her and MOVES founder Bang Si Hyuk.
In early August this year, Juice Seyeon was spotted with Bang in Beverley Hills, Los Angeles, sparking a huge scandal. Although HYBE’s statement claimed that the two met coincidentally, numerous speculations arose. While some accused Bang of being her “sponsor”, others speculated that the two could be “lovers”.
During this scandal, a YouTuber posted a video claiming that Juice Seyeon had traveled to Las Vegas with Bang and that she was an online prostitute. The streamer took issue with these claims, calling them false.
Juice Seyeon claimed that these false rumors had caused her severe emotional distress and loss of business opportunities, filing a civil lawsuit against the YouTuber in the Seoul Central District Court. The case, however, stalled as the YouTuber’s identity was not public. Therefore, the streamer filed a separate lawsuit in a US court requesting access to the individual’s personal information.
On December 17, Judge Beth Labson of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California ruled in Seyeon’s favor, allowing her to access relevant information from Google to identify the video’s uploader. She is expected to pursue full-fledged legal action moving forward.
Meanwhile, the scandalous photograph brought Juice Seyeon significant mainstream attention, leading her to appear as a guest on a popular YouTube talk shows. He gave a detailed account of his meeting with Bang Si Hyuk, which you can read more about right here.
