It appears that the identity of the man in the pink soldier outfit in the back is Lee Jin Wookwho plays the role of Gyeong Seok Parknumber 246 on display. He joined the games to get money to cure his daughter’s illness.

During episode 7 of season 2, player 001 (Lee Byung Hunplaying the role of the Front Man and his false identity Oh young Il) betrayed the group and killed some of the X-rated rebel players. As the pink soldiers round up the rest of the rebels, Park Gyeong Seok can be last seen being shot by a pink soldier.

However, from Park Gyu Young’s Instagram photo, it can be seen that Park Gyeong Seok may have been intentionally shot so as not to kill him, and instead turns into a pink soldier, similar to how in the first season. Wi Ha Joon (in the role of Hwang Jun Ho) disguised himself as a pink toy soldier. During the second season, a recurring story arc was how Kang No Eul would look more favorably on Park Gyeong Seok after interacting with her daughter at the amusement park.

Netflix and the Squid Game production team were very strict about preventing spoilers, making journalists at their press conferences sign non-disclosure agreements and even covering their cell phone cameras so they couldn’t film anything. Netflix reportedly has high penalties in its contracts for spoiling future episodes or seasons of its content. Park Gyu Young’s agency has since shared a short comment regarding the photo he uploaded.
