Soobin, a member of the K-Pop Boy Txt group, has recently become the target of a disturbing accident during a Fansign event. While promoting their new album The Star Chapter: TogetherSoobin participated in a global video fans meeting, but the atmosphere took a dark turning point when a fan played a false pornographic audio clip that would have involved colleague Yeonjun.
The fan then published the online clip with the caption, “POV: when I ask Soobin directly from the mysterious audio during the Fansign.” The situation intensified further when the fan chilly asked Soobin as a type of relationship with Yeonjun preferred, leaving the idol visibly stunned and speechless for almost 20 seconds.
A screenshot that captured the shocked and uncomfortable reaction of Soobin has become viral through the social media platforms, in particular X (previously Twitter), triggering huge repercussions from the fans.
Many Moas (TXT Fandom) expressed indignation, calling it more than a joke, spotting it out as harassment absolutely and a violation of Soobin’s dignity. Some of the most shared reactions are included:
- “What were those shippers thinking? Playing that clip and asking sexual questions during a fan scores? This is disgusting.”
- “This is not a joke. It is harassment. Bighit must permanently prohibit the fan involved.”

The accident has rekindled the discussions on the “culture of toxic shipments” within the K-pop fandoms. While the combination of idols can be a carefree activity for fans, bring it to the point of forcing idols to confront each other with sexually explicit content that are involved cross ethical lines and cause emotional damage.
