SBS released the new broadcast of “Curious Story Y” on December 27, discussing the recent issue of Song Mino’s alleged inadequate military service and special treatment. After the broadcast, articles came out and netizens also commented on the case.
“Curious Story Y” included statements from those serving in the military alongside Song Mino with evidence showing that the male idol receives special treatment. It is said that Song Mino avoided telephone duties and civil service assignments because he was afraid that the public would recognize his name and face. Pointing out Song Mino’s attendance problems, a social worker said: “I saw him several times during the first few weeks, but rarely met him after that.”
A journalist who investigated this matter revealed, “There are reports that the male idol sits and plays games, carrying a laptop and even a keyboard to make music while on duty.”
Previously, Song Mino had reportedly complained of difficulties in military service due to his social anxiety. Amid negative public opinion, the statements revealed in “Curious Story Y” further fueled the negative reaction.
