On January 7, a video titled “My Father Growls, Growls, Growls” was released on the YouTube channel “TEO_universe”, which is episode 72 of the “Salon Drip 2” series.
During the show, actor Lee Hee-joon mentioned his bond with Song Joong-ki, saying that his close friend, actor Jin Sun-kyun, loves Song Joong-ki. Also, all three of them came to an acting club, which led them to become closer.
The actor then talked about the acting club, describing it as a sort of “acting studio” group where members reinterpret scripts and perform improvised scenes.
In this regard, Song Joong-ki added that the seniors of the group even created a curriculum, adding: “I never officially learned to act, so it was a great experience for me.”
Towards the end of the show the conversation turned to family. Specifically, a video where Lee Hee-joon was caught saying “Oh, dad is working” was mentioned to his son during a phone call with the production team.
“The baby loves me so much. When I get home, my son can’t sit still. Keep talking to me and holding on to me,” the actor explained, adding: “And then, the writer’s call it arrived just then.”
According to Lee Hee-joon, his 6-year-old son thinks he is a book reader since he always reads scripts, while he believes his mother is a soccer player because “Mum is always on TV playing football.”
The actor also shared that his son looks like both mom and dad, and since his mother was a national athlete, their child is super energetic, yet sensitive like dad.
The topic naturally turned to Song Joong-ki and whether his children are more like him or his wife. In 2023, Song Joong-ki announced his marriage to former British actress Katy Louise Saunders and revealed that they welcomed a son that year in Italy, where Katie is from. They also recently made headlines for having a daughter.
In response to this, Song Joong-ki shared, “The first baby has the same lips as me but my wife’s eyes. The second one has my eyes but my wife’s lips. But he sure has my wife’s nose.
When asked what traits he hoped his children would inherit from their parents, Song Joong-ki said: “My wife lived in many different places growing up, so she speaks perfect English, Spanish, Italian and even French. Now he is learning Korean. And honestly, even though she’s my wife, I can’t help but feel envious. When we are at a party or some meeting, he turns to one person and speaks in English, then to another and switches to French, and then to the person in front and speaks in Spanish. I really hope my children can grow up like this.”
“I feel like it would really improve their quality of life,” tthe actor also explained.
