According to Star News on November 13, MooAm, the production company led by director Harry Hyun, has scheduled the film “Death Business” to release for mid-January 2025.
“Death Business” is an independent film inspired by the 2022 Luna (LUNA) cryptocurrency crash, which had a severe impact on the global financial market.
The film, divided into 6 parts, follows the story of a young entrepreneur from 2009 to 2023. It depicts his abuse of government support funds for young entrepreneurs, using tactics such as exploiting youth, women and disability quotas to fraudulently receive start-up grants, followed by willful bankruptcies and business closures. Ultimately, he makes a life-changing decision after receiving a Series A investment for a cryptocurrency service. The story is told in dark comedy format.
In the film, Song Jae-rim played the lead role of Yang Do-hyun, a young entrepreneur who fails repeatedly and closes his business after receiving startup grants. This was his return to the big screen after “Decoy” (2023), but tragically “Crash: The Man Who Lost His Business” became his final work.
On December 12, the production company, including director Harry Hyun, visited the late actor’s funeral to pay respects.
Song Jae-rim died on December 12 at the age of 39.
