On January 9, Professor Seo recalled his long-standing relationship with Song Hye-kyo, saying, “Many of our followers messaged me last night saying that a photo of me and Hye-kyo appeared on “You Quiz”.“
He shared: “Over the past 14 years, I have been so happy to pursue meaningful projects together with Hye-kyo. We have donated Korean-language guides to world-renowned museums and art galleries such as the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, and the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) in Toronto. Additionally, we provided Korean-language guides, Korean-language signs, and relief sculptures of independence activists to 37 sites related to the Korean independence movement around the world..”
He then praised Song Hye-kyo’s character, “I think Hye-kyo’s greatest strengths are her “sincerity” and “consistency”.“Seo reminded,”A well-known anecdote is when she long ago rejected a commercial modeling offer from Japan’s Mitsubishi Motors because it is a war criminal company. He told me at the time, “Professor, since I am working with you on significant projects related to the Korean independence movement, it is natural that I would refuse.” That phrase is still fresh in my memory. His sincerity seems to have been the biggest driving force behind our 14 years of collaboration.”
Finally, Professor Seo mentioned their future plans”This year marks the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Korea. We are preparing more significant projects together“, arousing anticipation.
Meanwhile, over the past 14 years, Seo Kyung-duk and Song Hye-kyo have donated Korean-language guidebooks, Korean-language signs and relief sculptures of independence activists to 37 sites associated with the Korean independence movement abroad.
