Actress Hye Kyo Song He reportedly added ₩6.00 billion KRW (approximately $4.50 million USD) to his net worth without even having to put in any effort.
According to a News1 report, the actress earned those millions of dollars through her real estate investment in just three years. According to the real estate agency Road ConstructionAccording to Song Hye Kyo’s data, the five-story building with a floor area of 149.35 pyeong and a building area of 74.61 pyeong at the entrance to the Hannam the hill apartment complex, one of the most elegant properties in Seoul. Song purchased in 2021 for ₩19.5 billion KRW (about $14.6 million USD).
At the time of purchase, the actress invested ₩11.5 billion KRW (approximately $8.63 million USD) in cash and the rest through a bank loan. The property was purchased in her name.
When Song purchased the property, the land price was ₩131 million KRW (about $98,000 USD) per pyeong, which has now increased to ₩165 million KRW (about $124,000 USD). Since the building itself is old, built in 1989, the value of the property is based almost entirely on the land price. Thus, the current market value of Song’s building is estimated at ₩25.5 billion KRW (about $19.2 million USD), a full ₩6.00 billion KRW (about $4.50 million USD) more than the purchase price three years ago.
While Song Hye Kyo is already one of the highest-paid actresses in the Korean entertainment industry, her real estate earnings seem to have taken her wealth to the next level!
